Description

  • Lead day-to-day delivery of the Clinical Monitoring function across assigned projects.
  • Manage and develop Clinical Operations Leads through work allocation, training, engagement, performance management, and resource planning.
  • Maintain appropriate project staffing by balancing team capacity, operational needs, and priorities.
  • Develop and oversee project-specific site selection, monitoring, ICH-GCP compliance, and global delivery strategies.
  • Oversee identification, escalation, and resolution of site, sponsor, and clinical monitoring issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement of clinical monitoring policies, procedures, tools, and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, sponsors, and research sites to implement process and technology improvements.
  • Recruit, train, manage, and monitor performance, compliance, and costs of independent contractor resources.
  • Ensure monitoring activities comply with applicable regulations, ICH-GCP, organizational procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Provide clinical monitoring expertise from bid development through project delivery and sponsor reporting.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in a relevant field, preferably Health Sciences or Life Sciences.
  • SoCRA and/or ACRP certification or designation is an asset.
  • 4–6 years of relevant clinical research or clinical monitoring experience, with substantial ongoing training.
  • Experience managing CRA or Clinical Monitoring staff, including performance management, resource planning, and staff development.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and support colleagues individually and in team settings.
  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, clinical research regulations and guidelines, and clinical monitoring best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to engage, develop, and support high-performing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work remotely across functions, geographies, and time zones.
