Description

  • Design, implement, and maintain security systems and tooling across the infrastructure.
  • Lead infrastructure security work through architecture reviews and threat modeling for new and existing services.
  • Design, deploy, and manage security tools such as SIEM, EDR, DLP, vulnerability management tools, and firewalls.
  • Engineer integrations for security tooling across cloud environments to improve protection and visibility.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to secure cloud-native services and containerized environments.
  • Evaluate, implement, and configure new security technologies to address evolving threats.
  • Develop and maintain secure configurations for operating systems, applications, and networking equipment.
  • Automate security processes and tool management using scripting and infrastructure automation tools.
  • Conduct security assessments and help ensure vulnerability management programs are effective.
  • Provide technical leadership and coach junior members of the security engineering team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in security engineering, including designing and managing security tools.
  • Strong understanding of threat modeling principles.
  • Experience with security incident response and risk management.
  • Hands-on expertise with SIEM tools such as Splunk or Sumo Logic, EDR tools such as CrowdStrike or SentinelOne, and vulnerability management tools such as Tenable or Qualys.
  • Experience with Wiz, Snyk, or similar security tools.
  • Proficiency securing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including IAM, VPCs, security groups, EKS/ECR, and cloud-native security solutions like AWS Security Hub or Azure Sentinel.
  • Experience with automation and IaC/CI/CD tools such as Terraform, Helm, Chef, Ansible, Buildkite, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
  • Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, container security, and CI/CD pipeline security.
  • Proven track record in incident response, threat hunting, and forensic investigations.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience with Datadog for metrics and log analysis.
  • Preferred knowledge of Zero Trust models, microsegmentation, and cloud-native security solutions.
  • Preferred familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, or SOX.
  • Preferred experience in healthcare, finance, or government sectors.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Preferred certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, CEH, or similar.
