Description

  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including financial statements and reconciliations.
  • Develop financial forecasts and annual budgets with department heads, and monitor performance against targets.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports with KPIs, variances, and strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records and internal controls.
  • Build and maintain cash flow forecasts and models to support liquidity and working capital management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team.
  • Research and apply the latest IFRS standards to ensure full compliance and advise on their impact.
  • Support audit preparation and statutory accounts, and act as the main contact for external auditors.
  • Provide financial insight to support commercial and strategic decisions.
  • Champion automation and digital finance tools to improve finance processes.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven audit background, ideally from a reputable accounting firm.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to build, maintain, and interpret dynamic financial models.
  • Practical, up-to-date knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
  • Previous experience in an SME environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
