Description

  • Administer internal IT systems, cloud environments, and security controls across the organization.
  • Manage Google Workspace, user accounts, access permissions, device policies, and employee onboarding/offboarding workflows.
  • Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure in GCP and Azure, including firewall and access controls.
  • Enforce security policies, procedures, and organizational compliance requirements.
  • Monitor security events, respond to incidents, and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans and manage patching cycles.
  • Maintain and update security documentation, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Support SOC 2 audits and other compliance evidence collection activities.
  • Manage IT vendors and coordinate external support as needed.
  • Use AI tools to automate routine tasks, accelerate troubleshooting, and keep documentation current.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in systems administration, cloud administration, IT security, internal IT support, endpoint management, or organizational-level Google Workspace/Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Hands-on experience administering cloud environments, especially GCP and/or Azure.
  • Experience administering Google Workspace at an organizational level, including user management, security settings, and organizational policies.
  • Experience managing user accounts, access permissions, device policies, and employee onboarding/offboarding IT workflows.
  • Working knowledge of security fundamentals, including SSO, MFA, RBAC, endpoint protection, and network basics.
  • Scripting ability for automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar tools.
  • Ability to monitor security events, respond to incidents, and coordinate remediation.
  • Experience conducting vulnerability scans and managing patching cycles.
  • Ability to maintain security policies, procedures, and system documentation.
  • Experience managing IT vendor relationships.
  • Comfort working autonomously in a fast-paced, fully remote, distributed environment.
  • Proficiency with AI tools in daily work.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Google Cloud Associate, Azure Administrator, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience with configuration management or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or similar (preferred).
  • Experience managing endpoint management (MDM) and device policies for distributed, remote-first teams (preferred).
  • Background in small or mid-size companies with broad, end-to-end IT ownership across systems, security, and support (preferred).
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance requirements, including audit evidence collection (preferred).
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery procedures (preferred).
  • Background in healthcare, financial services, or other regulated environments (preferred).
  • Experience with security monitoring, alerting, or log management tools (preferred).
  • Familiarity with GDPR or other regional data protection regulations (preferred).
  • Ability to manage BYOD policies and device provisioning for international staff (preferred).

Benefits

  • Base salary of approximately $25,000–$33,000 USD per year, calibrated for target regions.
  • Performance bonus opportunity of up to 100% of base salary.
  • Total compensation is adjusted based on experience, location, and performance during the hiring process.
