Description

  • Maintain and evolve the large codebase powering billing and payments services.
  • Integrate external billing-related services and new payment gateways.
  • Solve production payment issues and keep payment systems reliable and secure.
  • Design and review software architecture for new payment features.
  • Implement payment hypotheses and run experiments to improve core business metrics.
  • Write tests and contribute to a well-covered, high-quality codebase.
  • Analyze metrics to inform decisions and validate experiment outcomes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of commercial programming experience.
  • Strong PHP skills, including PHP 8.0–8.3, with production experience in Laravel.
  • Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with Redis.
  • Comfort with Git and Docker in day-to-day workflows.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles.
  • Ability to assess task complexity, decompose work, and prioritize effectively.
  • A mature, self-driven mindset with ownership of tasks and features end to end.
  • Fluent Ukrainian or Russian.
  • Experience with payment systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Grafana for observability is a plus.
