Description

  • Build, maintain, and optimize API-first backend services using Ruby on Rails.
  • Develop and evolve front-end features using Vue.js as part of the migration from Ember.js.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver reliable, scalable user experiences.
  • Work across the core product, editor, development server, and admin interfaces.
  • Integrate and support OpenAI and other third-party APIs with a focus on system reliability.
  • Contribute to AI-powered features by understanding prompt design, model behavior, and integration constraints.
  • Support multi-step AI workflows and automation patterns.
  • Contribute to emerging technologies such as MCP servers, where applicable.

Requirements

  • 3 years of professional experience with Ruby, Rails, and AWS.
  • Proficiency with databases and SQL.
  • Experience building and consuming APIs.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks.
  • Ability to communicate proactively, concisely, and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to evaluate multiple approaches and choose the best solution.
  • Ability to listen carefully, confirm understanding, and ask clarifying questions when needed.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as MCP servers is a nice to have.
