Description

  • Ship production-ready code across the full stack, from APIs and data layers to the user interface.
  • Own features end-to-end from initial idea through production release.
  • Collaborate on the migration of the front end from Ember to React.
  • Diagnose and resolve scaling, performance, and reliability issues across the platform.
  • Maintain high code quality through reviews, testing standards, and clear documentation.
  • Mentor engineers on React best practices and contribute to the technical roadmap.
  • Use AI tools to improve personal productivity and share effective practices with the team.
  • Work on partner integrations with major platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and Vrbo.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional full-stack experience shipping and operating production systems.
  • Strong React and TypeScript skills with solid back-end fundamentals, including APIs, data modeling, and relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with testing, CI/CD, and basic observability such as logs, metrics, and alerts.
  • Experience leading or contributing to non-trivial migrations or modernization work on a live product.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Practical, daily use of AI tools in your workflow, with good judgment to verify their output.
  • Experience with Ember.js, front-end framework migration, or multiple front-end frameworks is preferred.
  • Background in short-term rental, property management, travel, or hospitality tech is preferred.
  • Experience operating multi-tenant SaaS at scale, including performance tuning, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Heroku, containers, and infrastructure-as-code is preferred.
  • Prior experience formally mentoring other engineers is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Shape Up methodology is preferred.
