Description

  • Lead the strategy and implementation of a test automation program covering the full testing pyramid (unit, service, integration, end-to-end).
  • Design, build, maintain, and optimize automated tests and automation frameworks to improve coverage and test efficiency.
  • Leverage AI and tooling to accelerate quality engineering workflows and improve automation effectiveness.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with the CI/CD team to ensure tests run at appropriate stages of development.
  • Work directly with product and engineering teams to write and test product code, participate in design reviews, and architect systems for testability and modularity.
  • Identify weak spots in large codebases, design and implement testable and fault-tolerant solutions, and guide teams on best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, isolate, and verify bug fixes found during testing and after release, and continuously improve testing processes.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with product management, development, and other QE teams to support short release cycles and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of industry experience in software testing and automation.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (examples: Kotlin, Java) and strong scripting skills.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks, with hands-on experience (example: Espresso).
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (examples: Buildkite, Spinnaker, Jenkins) and using version control systems (Git).
  • Experience designing and maintaining test coverage across the testing pyramid (unit, service, integration, end-to-end).
  • Proven ability to develop solutions for ambiguous problems and lead integrations across multiple teams with significant impact.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is required.
  • Experience leveraging AI or advanced tooling to improve test generation, coverage, or efficiency (preferred).
