Description

  • Set technical strategy and architecture for media infrastructure across multiple teams.
  • Lead, coach, and grow managers and senior technical leads.
  • Partner with Product, Design, Trust, and infrastructure teams to shape a resilient platform roadmap.
  • Own the reliability, scalability, and evolution of systems supporting media uploads, processing, storage, distribution, and presentation.
  • Resolve systemic technical debt affecting reliability, performance, and velocity.
  • Lead and ship large cross-team initiatives with significant business impact.
  • Retain, grow, and hire a diverse team of engineers and managers.
  • Drive operational excellence, quality, and reliability across the organization.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of industry experience.
  • 6+ years of engineering management experience, including managing other managers or senior technical leads.
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Deep expertise in large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience setting technical strategy and architecture across multiple teams.
  • Media or content infrastructure experience, including ingestion, processing, storage, and CDN delivery, is a strong plus.
  • Strong product instinct and communication skills.
  • Experience influencing senior cross-functional and cross-organizational partners.
  • Sound judgment balancing short-term business needs with long-term technical and organizational health.
  • Ability to identify, retain, grow, and acquire critical engineering and management talent.
  • Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • US-remote eligible, with occasional office or offsite travel as needed and residence in an eligible state.

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $248,000 to $310,000 USD.
  • Eligible for bonus.
