Description

  • Develop and implement Airbnb’s legislative and public policy objectives, including advocacy priorities, positions, and strategies.
  • Draft, develop, and execute integrated government relations, communications, stakeholder engagement, and mobilization plans.
  • Review legislative language, draft comments, and research policy issues affecting Airbnb’s priorities.
  • Maintain relationships with contacts in legislative, executive, and administrative offices, as well as allied groups and coalition partners.
  • Represent Airbnb in meetings with government officials, elected officials, industry associations, hosts, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage consultants and agencies supporting campaign plans.
  • Track progress, report updates accurately and regularly, and escalate roadblocks in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to align policy plans with business priorities.
  • Monitor and track legislation and regulatory matters as directed.
  • Lead strategic engagement with the National Assembly, ministries, regulators, and policy stakeholders.
  • Produce concise briefing materials, meeting readouts, and leadership updates.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience working on policy issues in a business, political, governmental, legislative, or regulatory context.
  • Background in the National Assembly, central government, or an equivalent policy-facing role preferred.
  • Ability to quickly get up to speed on complex technical and regulatory issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with planning, memo-writing, budgeting, and basic accounting skills.
  • Proficiency in major computer applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Acute attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to help keep others organized.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region.
  • Leadership experience managing people and developing teams is a nice to have.
  • Passion for home-sharing and the company’s mission is expected.
