Description

  • Own international operational projects end-to-end, from problem definition and solution design through implementation and handoff.
  • Forward-deploy to new countries to stand up facilities, establish local presence, and build relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Partner with Strategic Real Estate, Global Defense, and Corporate Development on site selection, lease execution, facility buildout, tenders, localization, and M&A integration.
  • Translate between on-the-ground realities abroad and HQ functional teams to keep work moving across time zones.
  • Provide structure to ambiguous strategic problems and guide cross-functional stakeholders toward decisions.
  • Build and leverage internal networks across supply chain, manufacturing, finance, legal, compliance, people, security, and networking teams.
  • Project manage distributed stakeholder groups, including executives and teams across multiple regions, to drive solutions and execution.
  • Report progress regularly and manage competing priorities across multiple international projects in parallel.

Requirements

  • Willing and able to travel 75%+ internationally and/or relocate flexibly on short notice.
  • Valid passport and ability to obtain visas for a wide range of countries.
  • Strong agency and judgment to operate independently overseas with imperfect information.
  • Able to build trust and relationships across cultures, functions, and seniority levels.
  • Comfort moving between strategy, details, and execution in the same day.
  • Strong communicator across working-level teams, foreign counterparts, and executives across 12+ hour time zones.
  • Self-aware and coachable, with the ability to seek feedback and self-correct.
  • High ownership with the ability to manage 2-3+ international projects in parallel at a rapid pace.
  • 6+ years of working experience, including 3+ years in consulting, operations, finance, or product/program management.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency in a second language is preferred.
  • Previous experience living or working abroad is preferred.
  • Familiarity with export controls such as ITAR/EAR, UK Strategic Export Control Lists, or EU Dual-Use regulations is preferred.
  • Former startup founder or early-stage operator experience is preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree in a STEM major is preferred.
