Description

  • Design and implement causal inference frameworks, statistical models, experiments, and quasi-experiments to measure the impact of Community Support interventions.
  • Build, evaluate, and iterate on causal machine learning models used for high-stakes decision-making and production deployment.
  • Develop frameworks to analyze tradeoffs between competing objectives such as accuracy, coverage, user experience, and operational cost.
  • Conduct causal inference analyses to quantify long-term effects of product changes and identify heterogeneous treatment effects.
  • Optimize Make Goods budget allocation to maximize business impact.
  • Deliver strategic insights on quality-cost tradeoffs to help leadership improve support experiences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Engineering, Operations, Analytics, and operations agents to drive innovation and execution.
  • Communicate analytical learnings and recommendations clearly to leaders and stakeholders to support data-driven decisions.
  • Help scale and evolve data science capabilities within the Community Support domain.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of industry experience in a quantitative analysis role.
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, or computer science, or a PhD in a relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of causal inference and experimental design.
  • Strong knowledge of Bayesian modeling and statistical inference.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying statistical or machine learning models in production environments.
  • Proficiency in Python or R and SQL.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with audiences of varying technical levels.
  • Ability to translate complex findings into compelling narratives that drive impact.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • US-remote eligible, with the ability to live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $151,000 to $175,000 USD.
  • Eligible for bonus compensation.
