Description

  • Act as the primary implementation partner working directly in a production codebase.
  • Own the building, engineering, and deployment of full-stack system features.
  • Design, implement, and submit clean pull requests for review.
  • Build and maintain machine learning pipelines, including training data preparation, fine-tuning scripts, and system evaluations.
  • Write raw PostgreSQL schemas, complex queries, and data migrations.
  • Develop, scale, and optimize high-throughput model inference and custom voice pipelines.
  • Decompose feature briefs into technical tasks and propose structural architectures.
  • Autonomously diagnose and resolve backend production bugs.
  • Support full data tracing from the database to the user interface.
  • Contribute to voice AI and ML infrastructure pipelines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of production experience with strict TypeScript/JavaScript, including generics, type inference, and discriminated unions.
  • Production React experience with ownership of live web applications.
  • Deep familiarity with Next.js App Router, including server and client components, middleware, and route handlers.
  • Strong SQL fluency with raw PostgreSQL and no ORM dependency.
  • Python proficiency tied to data preparation, training, and evaluation for machine learning pipelines.
  • Strict Git workflow discipline with clean commits and strong code review habits.
  • Familiarity with ML infrastructure frameworks through personal projects, fine-tuning experiments, or coursework.
  • Strong independent research skills to learn unfamiliar stacks and specialized domains without hand-holding.
  • Excellent written English communication skills for documentation, code reviews, and technical notes.
  • High technical agency and meticulous attention to detail when working from ambiguous briefs.
  • Hands-on experience with PyTorch and Hugging Face model fine-tuning, including PEFT/LoRA and Transformers library is preferred.
  • Voice or speech ML engineering background, including STT, TTS, or end-to-end voice pipeline tuning is preferred.
  • GPU infrastructure management experience, including self-hosted GPU servers, CUDA, and resource monitoring is preferred.
  • Front-end data visualization expertise with Tailwind CSS, Radix primitives, and dashboard charting is preferred.
  • Automated document report generation experience for PDF, Excel, or Word exports is preferred.
  • DevOps exposure, including Docker, multi-stage builds, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • Prior exposure to capital construction, industrial software, or engineering project controls is preferred.
  • Availability to work 25–40 hours per week.
  • Timezone alignment with EST or CST.
