Description

  • Provide day-to-day support and monitoring of clients’ cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Develop automated solutions to monitor and support cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Configure and tune cloud-based tools to manage cost, security, and compliance.
  • Hold weekly discussions with clients to review outstanding issues, changes, and improvement proposals.
  • Provide consultation and prepare monthly reports on client cloud infrastructure.
  • Work on moderate to complex issues with limited supervision and own components of complex solutions.
  • Lead written deliverable creation within the area of expertise.
  • Identify out-of-scope client requests and escalate them to the delivery manager or sales team when needed.
  • Proactively communicate project risks, overruns, and escalation requests to the project manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant operational experience.
  • Professional-level Google Cloud Platform certification(s).
  • Strong experience with cloud deployment and infrastructure templates, including Cloud Deployment Manager, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, and Terraform.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows system administration.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with expertise in at least one.
  • Experience with public cloud cost, security, and compliance tools such as CloudCheckr, Cloud Guard, Dome9, Cloud Health, Cloud Prisma, or Cloudability.
  • Expertise with GCP native services such as Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Trace, Cloud VPN, Cloud Identity, Cloud Build, CloudTrail, and App Engine.
  • Experience with service portals and ticketing systems for Incident and Change Management.
  • Experience managing GCP workloads in large environments and working knowledge of cloud migrations, cloud networking, and cloud identity.
  • Client relationship skills and experience managing vendors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated technical leadership, and a desire for personal development and learning.
  • Good understanding of distributed systems, TCP/IP protocols, and scaling technologies and solutions.
