Description

  • Own canonical data models, service boundaries, and architecture for critical platform domains.
  • Design AWS-native, event-driven, asynchronous, scalable, and cost-efficient services supporting enterprise and AI/ML workloads.
  • Ensure tenant isolation, authentication, authorization, secure token handling, and permission-aware data access.
  • Lead major platform initiatives from technical design through release and align stakeholders across teams.
  • Create versioned, high-scale API contracts with idempotency, deterministic behavior, error handling, limits, and contract testing.
  • Champion infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, continuous delivery, observability, modernization, and refactoring.
  • Partner with CloudOps, Security, MLOps, integration, product, and engineering teams on operational and architectural standards.
  • Mentor engineers and serve as a technical multiplier by unblocking teams and improving engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, software/electrical engineering, or a comparable field.
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years at staff level.
  • Experience leading architecture decisions and technical direction across multiple teams without direct authority.
  • Track record of owning significant initiatives end to end, including release ownership.
  • Strong proficiency in Python; Java experience is a plus.
  • Deep experience designing and operating scalable, enterprise-grade distributed systems on AWS.
  • Strong data modeling, service architecture, high-scale API, asynchronous processing, data pipeline, or ML/inference experience.
  • Knowledge of application security and multi-tenancy, including authentication, authorization, token handling, and tenant isolation.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and distributed-systems observability.
  • Excellent English communication skills; experience with AI/ML services, SaaS integrations, search and retrieval, or CLM is preferred.
