Description

  • Build and maintain software applications across Agiloft’s enterprise software products.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, AI engineers, and other software engineers to solve novel customer problems.
  • Develop and improve infrastructure-as-code stacks, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring and observability tools.
  • Make architecture and cloud engineering decisions with other engineers.
  • Continuously improve code quality, extensibility, scalability, and test coverage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the full application stack.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team growth.
  • Participate in incident response and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Provide feedback on team quality, the tech stack, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and streamline day-to-day work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
  • 3+ years in a tech lead, architecture lead, or management role.
  • Strong experience with Python in core application code.
  • Experience building modern, cloud-native applications using serverless technologies such as API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • Deep understanding of Git, relational databases and data modeling, AWS infrastructure as code, RESTful API design, CI/CD tools, and containerization/orchestration.
  • Experience with AWS cloud engineering at enterprise scale.
  • Proficiency with AI tools in the SDLC such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot, and/or API integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: experience building applications on top of LLMs using commercial APIs, familiarity with Postgres optimization and indexing, exposure to Python data science tooling, experience with monitoring/observability, and interest in application and cloud security.
