Description

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls and security configuration baselines.
  • Create, review, customize, and update security baselines using CIS, STIG, vendor, and organizational requirements.
  • Conduct security, compliance, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Translate technical baseline requirements into FISMA, NIST, and client-specific security requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to remediate vulnerabilities and address evolving cyber threats.
  • Support audits, security reviews, and compliance activities.
  • Maintain security documentation for controls, assessments, and baseline configurations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience supporting IT operations.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT operations.
  • Experience creating security baselines using CIS and STIG benchmarks.
  • Experience reviewing, developing, or customizing security configuration baselines.
  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800-series guidance, including 800-30, 800-37, 800-53, 800-60, 800-63, 800-115, or 800-137.
  • Knowledge of the National Vulnerability Database and Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).
  • Ability to create security baselines from vendor documentation and tailor CIS/STIG benchmarks to organizational needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
  • Experience with networking, operating systems, cloud platforms, or mobile technologies, including Cisco, Windows Server, AWS, Azure, or iOS (preferred).
  • Experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code, containers, serverless platforms, monitoring, or related tools such as Ansible, Terraform, OpenShift, AWS Lambda, or ELK (preferred).
