Description

  • Own the development and evolution of Afresh’s analytics platform.
  • Improve, extend, and optimize analytics architecture for reliable, accessible data products.
  • Build dimensional models, semantic-layer metrics, and AI-assisted analytics context and tooling.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, product engineers, product managers, data scientists, operations specialists, and other stakeholders.
  • Evolve data quality and data governance processes.
  • Design and optimize pipelines handling billion-plus-row datasets.
  • Mentor and upskill other engineers.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a data engineer, analytics engineer, or similar role.
  • Advanced SQL, dimensional modeling, and data warehouse design expertise.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
  • Proficiency in dbt.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Astronomer, or Dagster.
  • Experience with semantic layers such as LookML, Cube.dev, Databricks Metrics Views, or dbt MetricFlow.
  • Experience designing and optimizing pipelines for billion-plus-row datasets.
  • Experience working with and extending AI models to produce high-quality code and reliable analytics.
  • Strong communication, leadership, ownership, initiative, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills and work in unfamiliar domains.
