Description

  • Lead the technical relationship for a named set of merchants within a vertical or category.
  • Build trust with technical counterparts and foster long-term merchant partnerships.
  • Manage and guide new merchant integrations into existing merchant architecture.
  • Identify risky technical approaches and reduce merchant implementation risk.
  • Drive adoption of new features, betas, and pilots with retail partners.
  • Support merchants throughout their partnership lifecycle with Affirm.
  • Resolve critical technical issues quickly and coordinate cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
  • Provide early feedback to engineering and product teams as new products are iterated.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and accelerate merchant onboarding.
  • Work closely with Product, Operations, Customer Success, Merchant Help, and Engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a TAM, Solutions Engineer, or other customer-facing technical role owning key developer relationships.
  • Ability to read code in at least two programming languages.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a deep command of the written word.
  • Confidence and fluency discussing technical concepts with developers.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead important client relationships.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to influence internal and external partners to stay on schedule.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Degree in a technical major such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering, or completion of a bootcamp.
  • Familiarity with the payments ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with web and mobile application architecture.
  • Ability to write code in at least one language.
