Description

  • Own and deliver quarterly team goals and lead engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and help make risk-aware technical decisions.
  • Proactively identify project, process, technology, or business issues and lead efforts to resolve them.
  • Support the operations and availability of team-owned security artifacts through metrics, monitoring, escalation, and on-call work.
  • Set and improve code review and design standards and advocate for them through writing and tech talks.
  • Help develop team talent by providing feedback, guidance, and leading by example.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
  • Experience building highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes resource management, Helm charts, and operator patterns, especially for security workloads.
  • Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with elegant, simple, and extensible designs.
  • Ability to make significant changes in a large code base and create tools and practices that enable safe development.
  • Demonstrated ownership of personal growth and proactive feedback-seeking from managers, peers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with a global engineering team.
  • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
