Description

  • Develop AI systems that automate dispute and chargeback handling using structured evidence and business logic.
  • Build models that automate refunds and help return money to customers faster.
  • Build and maintain evidence extraction pipelines that process unstructured data using LLM-powered workflows.
  • Prototype new modeling ideas, run offline experiments, and promote the best approaches into production with appropriate risk controls.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Servicing Operations, Product, and ML Platform to define requirements and evaluate tradeoffs.
  • Communicate results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Take models from idea to prototype to production and keep them healthy through measurement and monitoring.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer.
  • Strong Python skills and experience writing production-quality code.
  • Experience building and evaluating tabular classification models, preferably gradient-boosted decision trees such as LightGBM, XGBoost, or CatBoost.
  • Experience building applications with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic, including structured extraction, prompt engineering, and orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
  • Familiarity with document and unstructured data processing, such as PDF/image extraction or text parsing.
  • Experience with ML lifecycle tooling for training orchestration, experimentation, and model monitoring, such as Kubeflow, Airflow, or MLflow.
  • Proficiency with AI-powered developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate iteration, debugging, and code quality.
  • Ability to break down simple business scenarios into solutions spanning multiple software components and implement them with clear, well-tested, extensible code.
  • Comfort navigating a large codebase, debugging other engineers' code, and providing code review feedback.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team.
