Description

  • Set the vision and execute the roadmap for the Loans Lifecycle engineering organization, including Loans Platform, Ledger Engineering, and Financial Reporting.
  • Own core engineering and business outcomes for the loan system of record, ledger pipelines, and financial data delivery to accounting systems.
  • Define and deliver technical strategy for service decomposition, platform scalability, and database architecture evolution.
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, Capital Markets, Product, and Compliance to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Balance product expansion initiatives with foundational investments in reliability, correctness, speed, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive operational excellence across large-scale batch pipelines and online services, including incident response, SLA management, and reconciliations.
  • Improve the development lifecycle and support continued agentic adoption and acceleration.
  • Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing, globally distributed engineering team across multiple sub-teams and disciplines.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing managers, with a strong record of manager development.
  • Experience leading multiple engineering teams spanning backend services and big data or batch pipelines.
  • Demonstrated success driving key business outcomes.
  • Comfort working across disciplines and influencing a wide variety of leaders.
  • Experience hiring, growing, and retaining talent.
  • Strong technical depth in distributed systems, data-intensive applications, and database architecture at scale.
  • Domain knowledge in financial systems, lending, accounting, or fintech; experience with ledger systems, loan origination and servicing, or financial reconciliation in a lending context is a plus.
  • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

  • CAN base pay range of $238,000 to $298,000 per year.
