Description

  • Proactively explore data to identify opportunities to improve Trust and Safety products and accelerate product development.
  • Analyze experiment results and optimize existing fraud strategies to improve conversion rates.
  • Translate analysis, trends, and findings into recommendations for business logic that improve identity and fraud performance.
  • Develop scalable frameworks to manage tiered cutoffs for proprietary fraud machine learning models.
  • Evaluate new data sources for fraud risk use cases and partner with data engineering to build and maintain analytical data pipelines.
  • Own the end-to-end analytics workflow, including defining success metrics, socializing metrics across the organization, and creating dashboards and reports.
  • Partner with Machine Learning to build fraud and identity verification strategies for new products, markets, and user segments.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to identify high-impact funnel points that improve user acquisition and retention.
  • Collaborate with Operations on risk execution and resolution strategies.
  • Partner with Finance on portfolio performance discussions and loss forecasting.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of work experience in customer risk management at a payments or financial company.
  • Fluency in SQL and Python.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across different teams.
  • Ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be responsive during high-intensity moments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitatively rigorous discipline such as engineering, statistics, math, or economics preferred.
  • Knowledge of payment processing fundamentals and industry risk trends, including familiarity with risk strategy development.
  • Experience with fraud strategy, online experimentation, or identity verification is preferred.
  • Experience working in data analytics or customer risk analytics is preferred.
