Description

  • Define the web development roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Build and maintain Webflow sites with high visual and functional fidelity.
  • Lead complex website migrations, including platform migrations, domain transfers, and content restructuring.
  • Create and deploy automations to streamline web development workflows.
  • Establish and maintain web standards, best practices, QA processes, and deployment review.
  • Manage, mentor, and provide code reviews and feedback to junior and mid-level developers.
  • Run regular 1:1s and team meetings across time zones and foster a collaborative team culture.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects from kickoff through launch, including plans, timelines, milestones, and stakeholder updates.
  • Coordinate with design, marketing, product, and leadership stakeholders to track progress and remove blockers.
  • Monitor site performance, SEO, accessibility, and user experience metrics and troubleshoot technical issues.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of web development experience, including 4+ years in a management role.
  • 5+ years of experience with Figma, Webflow, and WordPress, with a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Webflow and WordPress development and administration.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, responsive design, web design fundamentals, and SEO best practices.
  • Experience with complex website migrations, including platform migrations, domain transfers, and content restructuring.
  • Ability to build automations using Zapier, Make, custom scripts, and API integrations.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design.
  • Experience managing remote, globally dispersed teams across time zones.
  • Local to the Chicagoland area or proximate, with ability to travel for in-person workshops.
  • Native-level English fluency in written and verbal communication, plus a short video introduction as part of the application process.
  • Extensive agency experience and the ability to manage 20+ websites strongly preferred.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous startup or agency environments.
  • Current and valid authorization to work in the country of application; no visa sponsorship is available.
