Description

  • Architect and build new systems from scratch with appropriate risk and maintainability tradeoffs.
  • Lead, build, test, and release products with strict correctness and scalability requirements.
  • Develop personal finance products such as scenario builders and tax calculators.
  • Tackle complex integrations in the personal finance space to support smooth customer experiences and accurate financial reporting.
  • Help shape product strategy by scoping what is built and how it is built.
  • Collaborate on technical decisions that optimize for speed and elegant user experience.
  • Monitor, deploy, and scale modern serverless or container-based systems.
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to the technical organization.
  • Use strong systems design and project management skills to drive execution.

Requirements

  • Deep experience building, deploying, monitoring, and scaling modern serverless or container-based systems.
  • Strong technical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated systems design, project management, and mentorship skills.
  • Experience with Typescript, or similar full-stack technology stacks is preferred.
  • Experience with AWS is preferred.
  • Experience with NestJS and/or NextJS is preferred.
  • Experience with Postgres is preferred.
  • Ability to move quickly and choose when to ship a pragmatic solution versus building for the long term.
  • Strong product sense and ability to make tradeoffs under resource and time constraints.
  • Autonomous work style with the ability to choose work independently and maximize impact.
