Description

Engineer the agent portion of the technology stack for ActivTrak’s cloud-based analytics platform.
Develop software that runs reliably across diverse customer environments, including different OS versions, browsers, and networking setups.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in complex computing environments.
Work on browser extension development as needed.
Contribute to backend development across multiple layers of the cloud-native SaaS application.
Collaborate on modern SaaS design and .NET Core development.
Support cross-platform C++ development for agent and platform components.
Participate in product and engineering efforts that improve the platform’s productivity analytics capabilities.

Requirements

5+ years of software development experience.
Strong low-level Mac OS X systems skills.
Strong Windows Win32 library and Windows service development experience.
Experience with interprocess communication and multi-thread synchronization.
Experience with browser extensions and native messaging.
Experience with cross-platform C++ development.
Experience with modern CMake and Windows Installer tooling.
Experience with the latest C++ language standards, such as C++20/23/26.
Experience with MacOS Transparency, Consent, and Control framework is preferred.
Experience with GIT, GitHub, and GitHub Actions is preferred.
Experience with WMIC on Windows 11 is preferred.
Comprehensive C# knowledge, including Reflection, Lambda, LINQ, and Multithreading, is preferred.
Experience in cloud environments such as GCP or AWS is preferred.
Experience with data modeling and API design/implementation, including microservices and REST, is preferred.
Strong SQL experience is preferred.
Experience with Docker/Containers, Kubernetes, and .NET Core is preferred.
Experience with shell scripting, JavaScript, and TypeScript is preferred.
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and software development best practices is preferred.
Experience with RMM/MDM deployments is preferred.
