Description

  • Lead and develop engineers through technical direction, mentoring, and regular feedback.
  • Own delivery outcomes, estimates, capacity planning, and priority trade-offs.
  • Partner with Product Management and executive stakeholders to define reporting priorities based on customer needs.
  • Oversee the design, development, and operation of historical reports, report engines, dashboards, metric aggregation, scheduling, and export workflows.
  • Guide technical decisions from solution design through production rollout, coordinating architecture and security decisions as needed.
  • Define reporting metrics, periods, data freshness, and missing-data handling for accurate customer interpretation.
  • Coordinate with product and core engineering teams on source data, reporting content, access controls, and shared infrastructure.
  • Own automated pipelines for building, testing, validating, and deploying reporting services.
  • Improve reporting accuracy, query performance, reliability, and observability as data volumes grow.
  • Apply AI technologies to reporting development, validation, or interpretation where beneficial.

Requirements

  • Experience leading software engineers and owning production-system delivery and operations.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on technical problem-solving ability.
  • Expertise with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Experience building and operating AWS services in production.
  • Hands-on experience with reporting platforms, analytics services, or data-intensive applications.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, aggregation, and query-performance optimization.
  • Understanding of historical data, metric consistency, and data-quality validation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to align engineering work with product priorities.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Experience with automated testing for data pipelines, reporting calculations, and report generation (preferred).
  • Experience with dashboard engines, scheduled reporting, large data exports, patch management, or vulnerability reporting (preferred).
  • Experience with runtime isolation, sandboxing, B2B SaaS, security, compliance, data governance, or high-load endpoint products (preferred).
