Description

  • Design and maintain internal AI orchestration layers, centralized API gateways, and reusable frameworks for company-wide use.
  • Collaborate with core engineering teams to integrate production-ready generative AI and machine learning features into the Actian Data Intelligence Platform.
  • Establish LLMOps and governance infrastructure with guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and monitoring for performance, bias, privacy, and security.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud and API compute spend, including token usage, model selection, and production latency.
  • Lead workshops, create blueprints, and produce documentation to upskill non-AI engineering teams.
  • Drive rapid prototyping from proof of concept to production using scalable, production-grade engineering practices.
  • Define and enforce the organization’s AI stack, including vector databases, embedding strategies, and semantic caching.
  • Evaluate AI vendors and open-source models, and manage technical partnerships with model providers.
  • Define and track operational metrics such as developer adoption, time-to-market reduction, and ROI for AI enablement.
  • Build frameworks that proactively remove bottlenecks and standardize how teams develop AI-driven features.

Requirements

  • Strong background as a Senior AI/ML Engineer, LLMOps Engineer, or Software Architect with experience building and scaling AI-powered applications in enterprise SaaS or complex data platforms.
  • Deep technical expertise in Python or Go, semantic search, vector databases such as Pinecone, Milvus, or pgvector, orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex, and LLM fine-tuning or prompt engineering.
  • Experience with CI/CD, unit testing for AI using evaluation datasets, containerization with Docker or Kubernetes, and clean code architecture.
  • Ability to take extreme ownership and proactively build solutions without waiting for requests.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to explain complex AI concepts to business stakeholders and executives.
  • Experience embedding AI capabilities into production software products is required or strongly implied by the role.
  • Experience with advanced RAG architectures, agentic frameworks, or related AI tooling is preferred.
  • Experience evaluating open-source AI models and commercial model providers is preferred.
