Description

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of security engineers.
  • Define and execute a security engineering roadmap aligned with product and business priorities.
  • Translate business direction into quarterly security deliverables and track team progress against goals.
  • Champion shift-left security practices, including threat modeling, secure code review, and developer security training.
  • Own and scale application security tooling such as SAST, DAST, and SCA platforms.
  • Lead research spikes to identify systemic cloud security gaps and deliver architectural fixes.
  • Define and enforce cloud security standards for IAM, API security, secrets management, and container workloads.
  • Set and enforce security standards for internal AI systems, including LLM-based agents and RAG pipelines.
  • Partner with AI/ML and product engineering teams to embed security review into development lifecycles.
  • Act as the technical bridge between Security Operations and Product Engineering and influence remediation priorities.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, and SCA tooling such as Semgrep, Snyk, Veracode, or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of securing cloud-native applications and services on AWS.
  • Experience with IAM, API Gateway, secrets management, and container workloads in cloud environments.
  • Working knowledge of OWASP LLM Top 10 and agentic AI attack surfaces such as prompt injection, memory poisoning, and tool abuse.
  • Experience using AI-assisted security tools such as AI-powered SAST, copilot-assisted code review, or agentic vulnerability triage.
  • Strong working knowledge of compliance frameworks including ISO/SOC, PCI, and FedRAMP.
  • Exceptional communication skills for translating technical risks to non-technical stakeholders and influencing teams without direct authority.
  • AI fluency and an orchestration mindset for using AI as part of the cognitive workflow.
  • Radical adaptability, a builder mentality, and willingness to continuously unlearn and adopt more efficient AI-augmented processes.
