Description

  • Oversee complex large-scale projects and systems and drive technical solutions aligned with team objectives.
  • Define and drive technical vision and strategy across multiple projects and teams.
  • Lead system design and architecture discussions and shape scalable solutions.
  • Ensure high standards for code quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Lead code reviews, champion best practices, and contribute hands-on to the codebase.
  • Solve complex engineering problems across distributed systems, integrations, and microservices.
  • Mentor Senior Engineers and foster learning, growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Design on priorities, requirements, and dependencies.
  • Support leadership with technical expertise and strategic recommendations.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends and bring fresh ideas to the team.

Requirements

  • 7-9+ years of experience leading back-end or full-stack projects in a Senior or Staff capacity.
  • Proven track record of providing technical leadership and promoting best practices and standards.
  • Strong strategic and architectural vision with excellent problem-solving and systems thinking skills.
  • Experience leading the design phase of complex projects and driving them through delivery.
  • Strong understanding of system design, architecture, and trade-offs.
  • Proficiency with Python and/or Go is advantageous; other languages are also acceptable.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Prior experience with code reviews and mentorship of Senior Engineers.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
