Description

  • Translate and post-edit source materials from English into Irish (Gaelic) with natural, accurate, native-level quality.
  • Adapt technical and marketing content to align with client brand guidelines, tone of voice, and cultural context.
  • Maintain consistency in terminology, glossaries, and style guides across projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and reviewers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Perform self-review and proofreading to deliver publish-ready work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Native-level fluency in Irish (Gaelic) with professional command of English.
  • Proven professional experience in translation and Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE), ideally in a freelance or agency setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT/software and technical translations.
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances and localization practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Hands-on familiarity with cloud-based CAT tools and Translation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Phrase (Memsource) experience is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and meet tight deadlines in a remote setup.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with global teams.
