Description

  • Collaborate with account, product, customer support, marketing, and partner teams to identify customer needs and solution value.
  • Develop, customize, and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Partner with enterprise and strategic account teams to assess customer environments and technical requirements.
  • Design and develop solutions tailored to customer data environments and business needs.
  • Create technical proposals and support statement of work (SOW) development.
  • Lead proof-of-concept implementations in customer environments and present results to stakeholders.
  • Support sales, presales, marketing, partner, and product teams with internal enablement, demo assets, field intelligence, and subject matter expertise.
  • Educate the sales team on the technical aspects of data observability solutions.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation, product guides, specifications, and knowledge base articles.
  • Qualify deals with account executives and sales managers to ensure technical and solution fit before major investment.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in a SaaS and data industry Sales Engineering role.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one Hadoop component or workflow technology such as HDFS, Yarn, Spark, Hive, HBase, Ranger, Kerberos, Kafka, or Zookeeper.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of Apache Spark, Trino, Jupyter, or Airflow.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud service provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Hands-on experience with data observability, data monitoring, data integration, or data quality products.
  • Strong understanding of data observability trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of the data ecosystem, including data warehouses, data lakes, and streaming data architectures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to analyze customer data scenarios and recommend suitable observability strategies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet with prospects and customers.
  • Growth mindset, self-starter attitude, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
