Description

  • Support new and returning students and families through onboarding and completion of required tasks.
  • Serve as the primary contact for new students and families, answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Maintain weekly open office hours and help sessions for students and families.
  • Make welcome calls in coordination with the homeroom teacher and follow up on incomplete items for new students.
  • Participate in admissions counseling by reviewing transcripts, assisting with course selection, and explaining the school program.
  • Help school administration develop plans to remove barriers to attendance, academic progress, and behavioral goals.
  • Provide research-based strategies and training to help students and parents communicate effectively with teachers and administrators.
  • Facilitate individual and group support sessions and provide academic resources to increase student achievement.
  • Collaborate regularly with students, teachers, and parents to monitor progress and support goals related to academics, attendance, engagement, and behavior.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student performance, progress, needs, and academic support.
  • Coordinate and participate in professional development activities and re-enrollment events for families.
  • Attend student gatherings, parent/student conferences, and other in-person or phone meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, social services, or a related field.
  • Prior experience as a teacher, tutor, counselor, or mentor working with youth.
  • Prior marketing experience, including social media, events, and communications, is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google Docs, MS Office Suite, email, and internet applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to work with a distributed workforce and clientele.
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
  • Must be an Ohio resident.
  • Willingness to travel and attend in person several times per year for state testing and student events.
