Description

  • Provide high-quality virtual speech-language therapy services to K-12 students in Georgia.
  • Conduct standardized and non-standardized assessments, analyze results, and write evaluation reports.
  • Develop strengths-based, child-centered, and family-centered treatment plans.
  • Ensure IEP, evaluation, and progress-monitoring processes comply with district, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Initiate, participate in, and follow through on MET/IEP procedures and meetings.
  • Complete speech-language evaluations for initial referrals and re-evaluations within required timelines.
  • Develop IEP goals and objectives with teachers, staff, and parents aligned to core standards.
  • Provide speech-language services as specified in each student’s IEP.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and service delivery.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and staff about student needs, performance, and progress.
  • Collect ongoing data and adjust treatment plans based on student performance trends.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other members of each student’s educational team.
  • Develop, follow, and communicate a daily schedule to building leaders and department supervisors.
  • Attend staff meetings, participate in professional development, and support building-based intervention processes.
  • Use district software for special education compliance and accountability reporting.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Georgia.
  • Eligibility open to residents of Georgia.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google applications, email, and internet applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong content knowledge in one or more academic content areas.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret student data to make educational decisions.
  • Flexibility in handling daily challenges and changing job duties.
  • Strong integrity and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a diverse educational community setting.
  • Understanding of community and student demographics.
  • Understanding of state proficiency testing and state teaching standards.
  • Satisfactory completion of federal and state required background check.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel and in-person attendance required several times per year for state testing and student events.
