Description

  • Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas and grade levels.
  • Deliver live virtual lessons through web conferencing using research-based instructional practices.
  • Set up courses in the Learning Management System and manage asynchronous learning activities.
  • Monitor student progress, grade assignments daily, and provide timely feedback.
  • Track and maintain regular contact with each student.
  • Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
  • Review student data frequently and adjust instruction based on performance trends.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Participate in planning and attending non-instructional activities such as social events, field trips, and in-person testing sessions.

Requirements

  • Current Georgia teaching license in the appropriate content area.
  • Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
  • Preferred: 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred.
  • Open to residents of Georgia.
  • Willingness to travel and attend face-to-face events several times per year, including annual state testing.
