Description

Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor across core content areas and grade levels.
Deliver live lessons through web conferencing using research-based instructional practices.
Set up courses in the Learning Management System.
Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading.
Maintain regular contact with each student.
Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
Review student data regularly to adjust instruction and support achievement goals.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into lessons and interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
Plan and participate in non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips, including required in-person attendance.
Travel annually for state testing and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

Current Washington State teaching license in the appropriate content area.
Knowledge of Washington State Standards and Common Core Standards.
Preferred: at least 2 years of teaching experience.
Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
Preferred: experience working in a multicultural setting.
Open to residents of Washington.
Willingness to travel and attend face-to-face events several times per year for state testing and student events.

Annual starting salary of $55,000 to $63,000.
