Description

  • Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor for assigned students.
  • Deliver effective live lessons via web conference based on student needs.
  • Set up each course in the Learning Management System.
  • Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading.
  • Maintain regular contact with each student and communicate with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
  • Review student data frequently to adjust instruction and improve outcomes.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Use research-based practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
  • Integrate culturally responsive teaching, school culture expectations, and 21st-century technology skills into daily practice.
  • Plan and participate in non-instructional activities such as social events, field trips, and annual face-to-face state testing.
  • Collaborate respectfully and effectively with colleagues and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current state teaching license in the appropriate content area.
  • Knowledge of state standards and Common Core standards.
  • Preferred 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to properly manage confidential information.
  • Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred.
  • Open to residents of Wyoming and Arizona.
  • Willingness to travel and attend face-to-face events several times per year, including annual state testing.
