Description

  • Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor across core content areas and grade levels.
  • Deliver engaging live lessons via web conference based on student needs and research-based instructional practices.
  • Set up each course in the Learning Management System.
  • Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and assignment grading.
  • Maintain regular contact with each student.
  • Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
  • Review student data frequently to guide instructional adjustments.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Plan and support non-instructional activities such as social events, field trips, and state testing, including required in-person attendance and travel.

Requirements

  • Current Oregon state teaching license in the appropriate content area.
  • Knowledge of Oregon State Standards and Common Core Standards.
  • Preferred: two years of teaching experience.
  • Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to properly manage confidential information.
  • Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred.
  • Must be an Oregon resident.
  • Willingness to travel and attend in person several times per year for state testing and student events.
