Description

Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor across core content areas and grade levels.
Deliver engaging live lessons via web conference based on student needs and research-based instructional practices.
Set up each course in the Learning Management System.
Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and assignment grading.
Maintain regular contact with each student.
Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
Review student data frequently to guide instructional adjustments.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
Plan and support non-instructional activities such as social events, field trips, and state testing, including required in-person attendance and travel.

Requirements

Current Oregon state teaching license in the appropriate content area.
Knowledge of Oregon State Standards and Common Core Standards.
Preferred: two years of teaching experience.
Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
Ability to properly manage confidential information.
Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred.
Must be an Oregon resident.
Willingness to travel and attend in person several times per year for state testing and student events.
