Description

  • Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor across core content areas and grade levels.
  • Deliver live virtual lessons through web conferencing based on student needs and research-based instructional practices.
  • Set up each course in the Learning Management System.
  • Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading.
  • Track and maintain regular contact with each student.
  • Collaborate with the principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
  • Review student data frequently to adjust instruction and support student achievement goals.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Build a joyful, caring classroom environment that supports academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress and participate in non-instructional events such as social activities and field trips.
  • Travel for in-person state testing and student events several times per year.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current Florida state teaching license in the appropriate content area.
  • Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
  • Preferred 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to properly manage confidential information.
  • Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time.
  • Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
  • Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
  • Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred.
  • Open to Florida residents only.
