Description

  • Recruit, interview, and hire high-performing Long-Term Care sales specialists.
  • Coach, lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to achieve business objectives.
  • Conduct regular field visits and provide actionable coaching on customer engagement, territory management, and account execution.
  • Establish performance expectations, hold team members accountable, and address performance issues promptly and professionally.
  • Plan and execute sales meetings, performance discussions, and individualized development plans.
  • Develop, manage, and adhere to budgets while monitoring and interpreting business performance metrics.
  • Drive regional business planning, execution, and review processes to support sales growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on onboarding, training, strategic planning, and commercial resource development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and medical community stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales, including at least 2 years of sales management experience.
  • Neuroscience experience preferred.
  • Prior Long-Term Care experience strongly preferred.
  • For internal candidates: minimum of 2 years with Acadia in role and a consistent track record of strong sales performance.
  • For internal candidates: performance ranked in the top 25% for at least two of the last three performance years.
  • For internal candidates: Performance Management rating of “Achieving” or higher for all applicable eligibility years.
  • Strong field leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, including clear verbal and written evaluations.
  • Ability to build, maintain, and expand relationships with customers and medical community stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate business opportunities and evolving customer needs.
  • Ability to lead collaborative teams, prioritize effectively, and allocate resources to achieve business objectives.
  • High professionalism, integrity, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Up to 80% travel, including frequent overnight and occasional after-hours travel.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must reside within the assigned region or an adjacent region and be located near a major airport.
  • For internal candidates: demonstrated leadership readiness through coaching, mentoring, onboarding support, initiative leadership, or comparable behaviors.
  • For internal candidates: completion or eligibility for Acadia’s Emerging Leaders Program, when applicable.
