Description

  • Promote Acadia products to healthcare professionals in person and virtually with compliant clinical, disease-state, and reimbursement information.
  • Develop and execute a territory business plan to achieve or exceed sales goals using market data, customer insights, and quarterly action plans.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, advocacy organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Respond to customer questions, concerns, and objections using advanced dialogue and selling techniques.
  • Customize approved sales materials and brand resources to address specific customer needs.
  • Partner with internal teams such as managed markets, operations, sales training, and marketing to deliver coordinated solutions.
  • Provide guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and specialty distribution channels and serve as a liaison on access-related issues.
  • Track and report sales activities, expenses, and customer interactions accurately and on time.
  • Represent the company at conferences, exhibits, trainings, and required regional, local, and national meetings.
  • Mentor and train new sales specialists and contribute field insights to cross-functional projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; life sciences degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related sales experience for Sales Specialist level, with neuroscience preferred.
  • 5+ years of healthcare sales experience for Senior Specialist level, including 2+ years in complex or account-based selling.
  • 12+ years of healthcare sales experience for Executive Specialist level, including 3+ years in complex or account-based selling.
  • Experience selling into healthcare settings and influencing diverse HCP audiences across multiple care environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, leadership, and business acumen skills.
  • Deep understanding of neuroscience disease states, Acadia products, and local/regional market dynamics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual engagement platforms such as Zoom and WebEx.
  • Strong knowledge of payer dynamics, including Part D and specialty pharmacy/hub distribution.
  • Must reside within the territory or within 30 miles of its border and possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 80%, including significant driving, overnight stays, air travel, and occasional after-hours work.
  • Must comply with vaccination requirements for HCP offices, long-term care facilities, and medical conferences.
