Description

  • Design, build, and iterate on product offerings, APIs, platforms, frameworks, and developer tools for the Configuration Platform.
  • Architect and implement feature buildouts end-to-end to deliver a world-class user experience.
  • Ensure system stability, reliability, and operational excellence, including participating in on-call rotations and incident response.
  • Write, review, and maintain readable, testable code with attention to edge cases, errors, and performance.
  • Write and review technical design documents and lead their adoption across the team.
  • Participate in regular code and design reviews and contribute to improving engineering practices and code quality.
  • Collaborate asynchronously and synchronously with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure seamless integration and alignment on roadmaps.
  • Own projects, drive cross-team collaboration, contribute to roadmap discussions, and actively share knowledge for team development.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of industry experience as a software engineer with strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems.
  • Proven ability to own and drive complex systems end-to-end and influence cross-team goals and roadmaps.
  • Strong production experience writing Python and Golang code and working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Solid system design experience building resilient, scalable applications with an emphasis on operational excellence.
  • Detail-driven with a strong focus on code quality, testing, and performance.
  • Strong understanding of service health, monitoring, fault tolerance, and incident response practices.
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to work autonomously and asynchronously with remote collaborators and stakeholders.
  • Mentorship and leadership skills to influence team-wide engineering practices.
  • Nice to have: experience with Airflow orchestration, platform-as-a-product experience, and familiarity with GenAI productivity tools such as ChatGPT and Cursor.
