Description

  • Build and iterate on product offerings, APIs, platforms, frameworks, and tools.
  • Design, develop, and maintain feature buildouts that support a strong customer experience.
  • Ensure system stability and reliability for the services and features you own.
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and the team on-call rotation.
  • Write production code with attention to testability, readability, edge cases, and error handling.
  • Write technical design documents and help drive their adoption.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers on delivery and planning.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions asynchronously with remote teammates and stakeholders.
  • Own projects end-to-end and contribute to roadmap discussions and long-term planning.
  • Share knowledge within the team and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of industry experience as a software engineer.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Strong experience writing production Python code.
  • Experience working with Postgres databases.
  • Solid system design experience for resilient, scalable applications.
  • Strong understanding of service health, monitoring, fault tolerance, and incident response practices.
  • Ability to make practical trade-offs and propose technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to own and drive complex systems end-to-end.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously and asynchronously with remote collaborators.
  • Strong communication and mentorship skills to influence team-wide engineering practices.
  • Experience with Golang and Airflow orchestration is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ChatGPT, Cursor, and other GenAI productivity tools is preferred.
