Description

  • Design, build, and operate backend services supporting onboarding, funding, savings, vaults, withdrawals, portfolio data, and customer communications.
  • Develop vault management, monitoring, rebalancing, and partner-vault integration systems.
  • Turn reviewed allocation models from Quant Engineers into reliable production services and data pipelines.
  • Build transaction orchestration and high-throughput blockchain indexing services across the full transaction lifecycle.
  • Integrate with smart contracts, RPC providers, account infrastructure, payment partners, and other external services.
  • Design systems to handle degraded dependencies, partial failures, sensitive account flows, and customer funds safely.
  • Lead technical reviews and improve testing, observability, alerting, incident response, and deployment practices.
  • Collaborate with mobile, web, product, design, protocol, smart contract, quant, security, data, and operations teams.
  • Raise backend engineering standards through hands-on delivery, pragmatic architecture, documentation, and code review.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience, including ownership of complex production systems.
  • Strong backend programming skills; production Rust experience is highly desirable, with Go, C++, Zig, or Java systems experience also considered.
  • Experience building distributed, event-driven, or data-intensive systems with reliability and performance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of API and GraphQL design, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, caching, queues, and observability.
  • Strong judgment in threat modeling, sensitive-data handling, permissions, and operational risks for systems handling financial value.
  • Experience with blockchain systems or financial infrastructure involving real capital, transaction signing, key management, wallet infrastructure, or onchain transaction lifecycles (highly desirable).
  • Experience reading smart contracts and integrating with EVM-compatible networks, smart accounts, account abstraction, bridges, vaults, or DeFi protocols (preferred).
  • Experience designing constraint, optimization, solver, or allocation systems (preferred).
  • Experience building consumer fintech, savings, wallet, exchange, or payments products at meaningful scale (preferred).
  • Experience with cross-chain indexing, large-scale data ingestion, Kafka, ClickHouse, or similar infrastructure (preferred).
