Description

  • Plan, design, and conduct user research that informs products, policy, content, and design.
  • Lead complex or multi-stream research efforts that inform program and contract strategy.
  • Apply advanced qualitative and quantitative research methods to multifaceted problems.
  • Craft insights and research deliverables that shape product priorities and stakeholder alignment.
  • Drive adoption of research findings across teams to influence roadmap decisions.
  • Coach and mentor peers and clients on making research analysis and findings actionable.
  • Build relationships across teams and organizations to reduce silos and improve delivery.
  • Manage risks, conflicts, and stakeholder expectations, escalating when appropriate.
  • Represent A1M and the team to clients, including in challenging situations.
  • Prioritize accessibility, scalability, and long-term success in research recommendations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Prior experience working in government or government consulting at the local, state, or federal level.
  • A portfolio or resume demonstrating critical thinking about research process and outcomes.
  • Experience producing well-crafted research deliverables such as reports or presentations.
  • Experience facilitating research synthesis and generating insights and intervention opportunities.
  • Experience identifying opportunities to scale successful research efforts within organizations.
  • Experience working with a social impact-focused product team or in civic tech (preferred).
  • Experience on distributed, cross-functional teams with product managers, designers, engineers, and subject matter experts (preferred).
  • Personal experience with government health and human services programs (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Medicare, the ACA, MACRA, Medicaid, or CHIP (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SAFe and agile methodologies (preferred).
  • College degree in Psychology, Information Science, Graphic Design, or a related field (preferred).
  • Must work from the United States and be a permanent U.S. resident.
  • Must have resided in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years.
  • Cannot reside in New York state.
  • Must already have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without ongoing visa sponsorship.
  • Must be willing to complete a Public Trust background investigation and fingerprinting.
  • Must be available to work flexibly with partners primarily on EST.
  • Must participate actively in client virtual meetings, including being on camera.

  • Salary range of $125,000 to $155,000.
