Description

  • Perform day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Oracle 12c, 19c, and 21c environments.
  • Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports.
  • Optimize complex SQL queries and memory structures to improve database performance.
  • Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate for high availability, replication, and disaster recovery.
  • Execute quarterly RU/PSU patching and maintain compliance with security standards, including encryption, auditing, and user access control.
  • Manage Oracle databases on Oracle Exadata, including deployment, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead migrations from on-premises databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS, or Azure.
  • Implement and manage Autonomous Databases and Exadata Cloud Service.
  • Use Terraform or Ansible to automate database provisioning and configuration management.
  • Ensure database services meet defined SLAs, lead root cause analysis for outages, and advise customers on database strategy.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of dedicated Oracle DBA experience, preferably in a Managed Services Provider or large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is required.
  • OCI Solutions Architect or Autonomous Database Specialist certification is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage client expectations during high-pressure migrations.
  • A forward-thinking mindset focused on optimizing databases for the future.
  • Experience with Oracle 12c, 19c, and 21c environments.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and Oracle Exadata.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, AWS (RDS/EC2), or Azure, preferred.
