Description

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, cost-effective cloud-based data architectures on GCP and Azure services.
  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business needs.
  • Design and implement large-scale data processing solutions using Spark and Hadoop.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies for data quality, security, compliance, and metadata management.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and loading.
  • Monitor and tune data systems to ensure high performance and availability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define requirements and provide architectural guidance.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in data architecture and cloud computing.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with cloud data services including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Gen2, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, and Azure Logic Apps.
  • Expertise in data modeling techniques and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Spark and Hadoop.
  • Proven ability to design scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
  • Understanding of data governance, including data quality, security, compliance, and metadata management.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and DBT (Data Build Tool).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is a plus.
  • Experience designing cloud architectures on Oracle Cloud is a plus.
