Description

  • Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans in collaboration with Technical Lead or Product Development Manager to support project objectives and timelines.
  • Design, oversee and drive execution of high-impact test activities including test planning, test case design, and execution, and own QA deliverables for projects.
  • Enhance, expand and architect automation frameworks and practices to increase coverage, scalability and efficiency.
  • Serve as primary QA contact for development and product teams, communicating testing results and technical challenges to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize testing processes and drive adoption of advanced automation, tools and CI/CD practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor QA team members, create talent development programs, and nurture high-potential staff.
  • Ensure cloud and virtualization architectures support testability and scalability across platform products, and drive technical decisions related to those architectures.
  • Promote and institutionalize quality standards, testing best practices, and a continuous improvement mindset across projects and teams.
  • Stay current on testing technologies, methodologies and industry trends and share findings to improve QA effectiveness.
  • Actively contribute to recruitment and organizational development activities for QA and related teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of automation experience with Python and backend/API testing, including significant contribution to automation framework development and solid understanding of OOP concepts.
  • 5+ years of experience with networking concepts, protocols, and traffic generation/inspection tools.
  • Hands-on experience with at least 2–3 major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, or Alibaba Cloud) and virtualization technologies such as VMWare, KVM, or OpenStack.
  • Solid experience with Linux CLI, bash scripting, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce, BitBucket) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TargetProcess, Mantis, Trello) and working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments.
  • Leadership experience in QA roles (1+ years) with proven success in mentoring, test planning, execution, and documentation.
  • Good knowledge of testing methodologies (black-box, white-box, gray-box) and testing types including functional, regression, integration, and security testing.
  • Strong collaboration and English communication skills, strategic decision-making, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field, QA certifications (ISTQB, CSTE), experience with performance and scalability testing tools, SDLC/STLC depth, and practical experience with AI/ML in production (advantageous).
