Description

  • Coach teams on Scrum and the Agile Manifesto while facilitating core Agile ceremonies in a hands-off style.
  • Build self-managing teams by creating a safe environment that supports learning, improvement, and growing team autonomy.
  • Partner with the Product Owner to coach on Agile boundaries, backlog ordering, and value delivery.
  • Own Agile metrics and use data to identify improvement opportunities, protect team flow, and challenge unrealistic delivery dates.
  • Manage stakeholders under executive scrutiny and escalate concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Drive continuous improvement over the long term and support other Scrum Masters across the organization.
  • Design and run workshops, mindset exercises, and team games for new and existing teams.

Requirements

  • Strong command of the Scrum Guide and Agile Manifesto.
  • Experience operating at or near an Agile coach level; this is not an early-career role.
  • Dedicated pure Scrum Master experience; combined roles such as Scrum Master/Business Analyst are not a fit.
  • Proven ability to coach and facilitate without authority.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile metrics and the ability to interpret data to improve delivery.
  • Experience with scaling approaches such as scrum-of-scrums and the judgment to apply them appropriately.
  • Confidence managing stakeholders under scrutiny and escalating concerns effectively.
  • Experience designing and running workshops, mindset exercises, and games.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to read team health through behavior and interaction.
  • A track record of helping teams shift from cost-centre thinking to high-performing, mission-driven teams.
