Description

  • Shadow the lead consultant on-site and replicate the transformation approach at new plants.
  • Coach plant leadership and floor teams on agile ways of working and new technology in a manufacturing environment.
  • Facilitate ceremonies and working sessions that build team ownership and reduce dependency on the coach.
  • Identify and remove process bottlenecks, handoff friction, and waste across floor and cross-functional workflows.
  • Coach team leads and site managers on mindset shifts and adoption, not just process mechanics.
  • Drive adoption of new ways of working across plant teams, including change-resistant stakeholders.
  • Track and report transformation health metrics such as velocity, adoption indicators, and team maturity.
  • Provide post-implementation follow-up support to help the change stick and build local self-sufficiency.
  • Travel extensively between plant locations across the U.S. and the Americas, with possible wider international travel.
  • Implement an existing transformation playbook and report progress and roadblocks back to the lead consultant.

Requirements

  • Background in agile ways of working, supported by relevant certifications and experience.
  • Experience in product or software development, rather than a career focused solely on agile-transformation consulting.
  • Firsthand experience transitioning from traditional to agile delivery.
  • Hands-on facilitation experience running ceremonies and coaching teams through resistance.
  • Ability to translate agile principles into a non-software or manufacturing environment.
  • Comfort taking direction and executing an established playbook rather than setting a new strategic agenda.
  • Manufacturing exposure is preferred.
  • Easygoing, likable, low-ego interpersonal style.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and frequently, including potential international travel.
  • US-based with a U.S. passport required.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work on high-impact transformation work for a global manufacturing client.
  • Direct mentorship and learning from the lead consultant/program manager.
  • Role within a smaller firm where consultants can see the impact of their work.
  • Direct line to leadership and freedom to shape client work.
  • Opportunity to build lasting client relationships and work with local Southern California clients.
